MOApp Applications | Preface and Help
Table of contents
Thank you very much for choosing one of my applications!
The most important goals of all of my applications is the ease-of-use and a clean interface. In addition it is my firm conviction that every application should be focused on only one task; not more. And it should work as quick and easy as possible.
If you have any recommendations or wishes – please let me know! I am always happy about feedback and I take it seriously. None of my applications can become better without feedback and some have even been created due to feedback.
Crafting an application always involves compromises and taking the needs of all users into account. The ultimate ambitions are to stay focused on the majority and to place as less as possible obstacles in your way.
The following chapters describe common topics for dealing with of my applications. They apply for all of my applications and they can probably be skipped by most of you.
You find more specific help and guidelines directly in each application.
Have fun, Michael (MOApp)
All demo versions of my applications can be used without any time limitations. There are also no limitations in functionality or options, you are free to print and save and you will find no watermarks and the like.
However the number of entries is limited or you get a demo-hint at every start-up. That means for you that you can try each application extensively and take your time to decide.

In case you like one of my applications and you want to buy it, you can do it directly from within the application: Choose “buy license” from the demo-view or choose “buying” from the registration-view. As an alternative you can buy it on my website: www.myownapp.com
You can choose whether to pay with PayPal or your credit-card. Paying with your credit card incurs additional fees and taxes; I am sorry, but I can’t help it. Both, FastSpring and PayPal present their website with the user selected language. That includes currencies and the ability to change the currency.
Right after the sale I get a notification and I will finalize the it. I will generate one or more registration numbers and send them to you. Please allow this task to take some time. Normally I don’t miss anything – yet we are all human. In case you don’t get the registration number within 24 hours, please send me a polite email and I will handle it right away.
Important!!!
Always specify an alternative email address. Please train your spam filter and server that I don’t sell viagra and that all of my love goes right into my applications or that I keep it for my cat.
Almost every application on the Mac gets installed the same easy way. After loading it from the Internet you open the zip- or dmg-file with a double click. You will find the open dmg-file listed under Devices. Now you only have to drag…drop the application on your Application-folder and eject the dmg-file. That’s it. In case you don’t want to keep them you can trash the zip- or dmg-file.

After the sale you get an email with all the important information and a link to one myApps-file. You can either manually enter the registration code or download the myApps-file and drop it on the box in the registration-view.
Here you find a sample email with the most important parts:

myApps. Thus you have each file, every email including attachments at your fingertips.
Important!Up to now I never, really never, send out a wrong registration code.
In case the registration doesn’t work at the first time, please check everything and try once more – this is much faster for you than sending me an email and waiting for the answer that will state, that I have checked the registration code and that it is valid. That does not mean that I won’t help you solve any registration problem. I will help for sure. The problem just isn’t the registration code.
Every application is just as good as its help.
Therefore every application comes with a getting started guide and an extended as well as illustrated manual.
MOApp | ManualsEven more important – I am at your side.
Not always with the right words for everyone, yet always immediate and with just one goal in mind: to help you!
MOApp | Support WebseiteThus, in case you have a problem that can’t be solved with common sense, my manual or Google, send me an email. Please describe your problem in a way that I can understand and reproduce it. I try my very best to answer in the same manner.
You have multiple options for getting in touch with me:
- Every application comes with a “Feedback-Tool” (find the description below)
- You can use the contact form on my website:
MOApp | Contact Form- You can send an email directly to me:
info@myownapp.com- In case you can make it short – use Twitter:
Twitter | MOAppThe easiest and fastest way to get in touch with me is by using the Feedback-tool you find in all of my applications. There you can tell me everything that you always wanted to say. You don’t have to send me your email address. But in that case I can’t answer you.
You find the Feedback-tool in the help-menu: Help > Send Feedback…
There is no such thing as a bug-free application. Period. Even though I would love to create it. In the rare case that one of my application crashes, you see the crash report after the re-start. Please send the crash report to me. You are free to add a personal comment that helps me finding the bug.
The crash report doesn’t send any personal information and I can’t answer it directly.
Please note that not all of my applications come with a crash report.
No application is perfect from the start. This is why you get updates from time to time. Sometimes they come frequently and sometimes not. There are no fixed intervals.
In case you didn’t disable it, every application checks on a regular basis for an update in the background. In case there is an update an information view tells you so.
Click “Download…” to start the update process/open the website with the update.
Updates are installed as described in the chapter “Installing an application”.
But you have to confirm to replace the old version. Since your data isn’t stored within the application, you can do so without risk.
